Site Terms & Cookies

This Privacy Statement outlines the different interactions between our website and your personal details. It also outlines how cookies are used on the website.

How We Use Your Form Information

If you fill out a form on our website, the information will be stored in our offline internal records and database. We do not give out any personal details to third parties unless this is a stated part of the admissions process.

How We Use Your Email Address

Our forms will also require your email address. We will not give your email address to any third parties. Emails are stored on our offline mailing lists or on a secure server as part of our MailChimp account. If you receive promotional email from us via MailChimp, you are able to opt-out at any time by clicking an ‘unsubscribe’ link included in all emails. Your email address will then be deleted from the relevant mailing list.

How We Use Payment Details

Our online payment process is fully PCI compliant. Your credit card details are safely entered and transmitted using a secure server and are not saved on our website. While we keep a record of your contact details, we do not have access to your credit card number or security code.

How We Use Cookies

Cookies track user activity and enable various types of functionality on websites. They are essential to online shopping and any website where the identity of the user must be preserved when navigating from page to page. Cookies are used on nearly all modern websites (especially websites where you have to ‘log in’ to a user account). It is important that users are aware of this fact, but it is only recommended that you disable cookies if you have particular privacy concerns.

On the EdYOUfest website, cookies are part of the following functions and services:

  • Language: Used to track the current language that the user is browsing in.

  • Caching: Used to speed up page loading speeds when users return to a page they have visited before.

  • Google Analytics: Used to track information about who is using our website (new or returning visitor, IP address, browser make, operating system, language, country).

  • Facebook: Enables users who are logged into Facebook to ‘like ‘a particular page on our website or join the EdYOUfest Facebook page and group.

  • Online Payments: If you use our online payment system a cookie will be used to store your session for 30 minutes.

  • Security: Used to track general user activity on the site for security purposes

Although we use Google Analytics for market research purposes, EdYOUfest does not use cookies to collect data for direct advertising and will not pass any data on to a third party. The only exception is where we think our website security may have been breached by a malicious user, in which case we may report an IP address to an internet security website.

Typically it is possible to delete any cookies that are stored on your computer by using a system clean-up tool such as CCleaner (Windows) or by deleting cookies using your browser settings.

If you are particularly concerned about privacy, it is possible to disable cookies at any time by finding the relevant ‘privacy’ option in the settings of most popular browsers. (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera). However, this may impact on your ability to use features or to carry out tasks on different websites.

For more information on cookies and how to disable them, please visit About Cookies.

If you have any questions or concerns about the cookies in use on the EDYOUfets website, please contact info@edyoufest.com

Web Accessibility

EdYOUfest is working to meet accessibility standards on our website. The website should be compatible with screen readers and will adapt to show larger font sizes to aid visual impairment.

The website is also set up to print a clean version of the content on each page (if you click ‘print’ in your browser) without design elements and navigation.

Our website uses HTML5 elements and requires JavaScript to be enabled if you are using older versions of Internet Explorer (IE8 and below).

JavaScript is required for enhanced interactive functionality on many modern websites. JavaScript is sometimes disabled on company computers for security reasons but is enabled by default in most modern browsers and mobile devices.

We strongly recommend that you upgrade your browser to the latest version (this is free and easy to do, providing you have administrative access on your computer, will happen automatically with browsers such as Google Chrome and Firefox and may even happen automatically with the latest Windows updates).

Upgrading your browser to the latest version is free and will improve your entire web experience with increased speed, visual effects and internet security.

If you have any problems with accessibility (or usability), please email info@edyoufest.com
