The EdYOUFest Documentary Contest is an annual
international initiative created to give voice to English
Language Teachers worldwide. Submit a maximum
60-second video responding to the annual theme.
From all submissions, 10 videos will be selected and
professionally edited into a 15-minute documentary,
premiered live during EdYOUFest Malta.
What is the Documentary Contest?
Each year, English teachers from around the world share
a short, powerful video contribution: ideas, reflections,
classroom experiences, and professional insights. This is
not about “going viral”—it’s about authentic teacher voice,
international perspectives, and professional recognition.

Phase 1 — Technical & formal review (EdYOUFest team)

The jury includes:

Outcome: Top 10 videos selected and ranked (1st–10th).
The final documentary
Each year, the selected videos are edited into a 15-minute documentary including:

Opening introduction presenting EdYOUFest and the annual theme

The 10 selected teacher contributions

Concluding reflection & credits
The documentary becomes part of the official EdYOUFest archive and is produced as a cultural and educational resource.
