Welcome to EdYOUFest Lviv

Dear guests, colleagues and friends,

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to Lviv for this ELT event organised by EdYOUFest in collaboration with EdYOUKyiv and our local  partners. We are honoured to host this international gathering, which brings together passionate English language teaching professionals from Ukraine, Europe, and beyond.

 

For me, this moment is particularly meaningful. I first joined the EdYOUFest community during the Athens edition, and since then I have been inspired not only by the quality of the professional development, but also by the unique spirit of openness, friendship and international cooperation that EdYOUFest creates. Over the years, this enthusiasm has grown stronger and stronger — and I have been proud to involve more and more teachers from Ukraine, building a community based on motivation, learning, and shared purpose.

This event is not only an opportunity for meaningful professional development, but also a space to exchange ideas, build long-term professional connections, and reflect on innovative and inclusive pathways in language education. We hope the sessions, workshops, and informal conversations will inspire you, energise your teaching, and support your continued growth as an educator.

 

At the same time, this conference takes place during a deeply challenging period for Ukraine. The ongoing war has brought pain, uncertainty, and disruption into the lives of millions of people, including teachers and students. In this context, gathering here in Lviv carries an even stronger meaning: it is a powerful reminder that education, dialogue, and international cooperation continue even in the most difficult times. Your presence here is not only a contribution to professional learning, but also a sincere gesture of solidarity with the Ukrainian educational community.

 

Lviv, with its remarkable architectural heritage, deep cultural identity, and warm spirit, offers an ideal setting for learning and collaboration.
