Dear guests , colleagues and friends, it is with great pleasure that we will welcome you all to our school, the Casella Institute in Pedara, Sicily.
We are honored to host this international event, part of the EduFest program, which brings together passionate educators from all over Europe and beyond. This gathering is not only an opportunity for professional development, but also a chance to share ideas, build connections, and explore new educational paths.
Our school community, teachers, students and families, is thrilled to offer you a warm and authentic Sicilian experience.

Day Two:

Etna Cultural Day Tour
The tour will begin in Aci Castello and Aci Trezza, where we will observe pillow lavas at the base of the castle and striking columnar basalts in the harbor area.
Then, we will move to the higher altitudes of the volcano to hike the "Schiena dell’Asino" trail, leading us to the edge of the Valle del Bove, at around 2000 meters above sea level. From there, we’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of the volcano and its most recent eruptions.
We’re truly looking forward to welcoming you and sharing this unique geological experience together!

At the end of the event activities on 17 April, the shuttle will take participants from Pedara back to Catania Central Railway Station.

Dedicated Transfer for Participants Arriving the Day Before
For participants travelling from outside the province/region who plan to arrive on 16 April 2026 and wish to stay overnight in Pedara or in accommodation facilities on the slopes of Mount Etna, the organisation provides a dedicated transfer service from Catania to Pedara.

We are proud to support Sport21 Sicilia, an organization that promotes inclusion through sport and social initiatives for people with Down syndrome.
Their projects aim to foster independence, self-confidence, and access to employment opportunities.
One of their inspiring initiatives is the production of an artisanal beer, a project that combines teamwork, creativity, and empowerment.
